I am doing a GIVE AWAY at the end of this post. You don't want to miss it! March 1 - Thursday March came in like a lamb . . . bringing wonderful, gentle rains. March 2 - Friday "Wooden shoe" love to have wooden shoes?! The children love to clop around in this pair I found at a thrift shop. March 3 - Saturday "Neither rain nor snow . . ." stops us from getting our afternoon stroll. The pre-K Sunday School preparation for the lesson of baby Samuel. Each student received a glittery plaque personalized with their names' meanings, like Samuel's name had a meaning in the lesson. March 4 - Sunday The children look forward to an after church treat. March got around to roaring like a lion today! Everything blew sideways. March 5 - Monday "I don't understand, Lucky! I want to go out and you want to come in, so why won't they let us swap places?" It was a beautiful day for doors & windows to stay open. March 6 - Tuesday Katie Lynn helping me sweep the welcome mat. The girls spent a long time arranging each other's beeyoutiful hairdos before they went outside to eat icecream. March 7 - Wednesday Dr. Katie trying to listen to my heart!! Sometimes my heart drops down to my feet. March 8 - Thursday My SIL's and I went out for lunch to celebrate Joyce's birthday. Happy Birthday, Joyce! March 9 - Friday MMMmmmmm! Nothing beats a fresh donut from Pineland Bakery. I think it's the perfect tradition at the start of a trip. March 10 - Saturday Relaxing in Mother's livingroom with her, Sanford & Sheila. New York City, here we come! People, people everywhere! This lady's Rapunzel-length hair caught my eye. Claire spotted this sidewalk portrait artist. I wonder why his subject is covering her face? Pucker up, Grandmother! Baby Claire showing me how she can kiss with a smack. Eden, Eve and Claire re-enact the scene on their throw pillow. A typical scene - Marilyn stirring up a delicious dish and Harlan discussing and debating. Dove-tailing wood, glazing cinnamon rolls, creating stencil art . . . . . . all taking place on one tabletop! Harlan playing while Eden sings, "I'll Be Somewhere Working For My Lord." March 11 - Sunday Harlan was ordained deacon today at FJMC. A prayer of blessing Story time with Grandfather. This one was about a horse, their favorite subject! When he was a boy, his pet horse, Freckles, let him down. Grandfather playing that deliciously scary game, "Mad Dog" with Eve & Eden . . . . . . just like Pa Ingalls played with Laura & Mary! Let's have a treasure hunt! Here's your clue. I found another one! Plum Pony & Pinkie Pie, would you care for some salad or blueberries? The art lesson Harlan & Claire took the girls out to try being sidewalk artists. They each drew a picture of the front of the house. Claire & Claire, Inc. I wish we could come visit more often! March 12 - Monday Royal's family were at the ordination too, so we travelled together on the way home. When we were following their van, I kept noticing its smiling face! The children took turns riding in our van with us until supper. We all agreed that Cracker Barrell was the place to go for supper. March 13 - Tuesday I think March decided to skip spring and go straight into summer. Flowers outside Flowers inside March 14 - Wednesday Brock had two things to show me today: 1. His band-aids from his shots. He was brave. & 2. He learned to ride his bike without training wheels! March 15 - Thursday We missed making pies on "pi day" by one day! March 16 - Friday The youth hosted their parents for a Spring Banquet. It was divine! Our guest speaker for the evening was Chad B. He used a match to illustrate the potential of youth. This is what our odometer said when we parked after we got home. Did you guess the answer to my riddle in the last post? (Hint: this picture is upside down!)
